About the book
It is a parable about trust.
The Shift follows Jade, a high-earning entrepreneur whose success on paper has not translated into financial peace. When unopened IRS notices and a frozen account force her to face what she has avoided, she enters a new kind of strategy room—one built on truth, compassion and action.

The Letter
The text came while Jade was in the school drop-off line.
A legal hold has been placed on your account ending in 4471. Please contact us.
She read it twice. Then a third time, as if the words might rearrange themselves into something smaller.
She pulled into the gas station on the corner, because the tank light had been on since Wednesday. Her card was declined. She tried it again. Declined.
In the back seat, Maia and Jasper had gone quiet in the way children do when they can feel something is wrong but don’t have the words for it yet.
“Mommy?” Maia leaned forward. “I have twenty dollars from my birthday. You can use it.”
Jade smiled the smile she had perfected for clients and church and family reunions. “I’m fine, baby. The machine’s just being silly.”
But she wasn’t fine. And for the first time, she couldn’t make it look like she was.
She dropped the kids off, drove home on fumes and sat at the kitchen counter with her bank on hold. The pile was still there. She pulled out that envelope. Then the one under it. Then the one under that.
There wasn’t one envelope. There were nine.
